Mother’s Day Gift Guide under $30

As Mother’s Day is rapidly approaching, I have been noticing a ton of Mother’s Day gift guides & ideas floating around the internet. Maybe it’s just because I’m (always) on a budget, but seeing some of the pricey suggestions makes me giggle. I get it. Moms are awesome. Moms deserve everything & then some. But not everyone is made of money. I most certainly am NOT. So I decided to put together a quick & easy *budget-friendly* gift guide for Mother’s Day (or any occasion really).

1. Sunglasses from Forever 21 – These sunglasses are super trendy & super affordable. They also have tons of other styles under $30. What mom can’t use more sunglasses? I’m always scratching or losing mine…

2. SUGARFIX by BaubleBar Tiered Tassel Drop Earrings – Seriously how cute are these earrings? I didn’t realize that BaubleBar had a line of earrings at Target. They are only $12.99 and come in tons of colors! I may have to snag a couple pair just because 😉

3.  Essie Nail Polish – I just recently started using Essie nail polish. I bought the gel color Pre Show Jitters (white). Chris told me it looked like I put white-out on my nails, but I thought it looked awesome & I got tons of compliments! After that I picked up just the normal polish (non-gel) in Secret Story (hot pink) & Perfect Mate (lighter coral-ish pink). I already want more. The gel runs around $12 and the polish runs around $9. Not too bad!

4. Trina Turk Phone Case – Nordstrom Rack has some seriously cute & cheap phone cases for all kinds of phones. I love the look of this one that I linked – but browse their site for more options! Around $15

5. Take me to the Beach, Beach Bag – Ya know what’s after Mother’s Day? Summer! I can always use another pool bag/beach bag. This one is from Amazon and is adorable. There’s tons of cute beach bags and totes on Amazon right now. This one is only $17 and is Prime eligible!

6. Boss Mom Apron – I typically don’t shop at Nordstrom (unless it’s Nordstrom Rack), but this little gem is only $27. It’s simple, but pretty & has a good message! Love that it’s embroidered instead of screen printed. Disclaimer: This is one of those gifts where you need to know your audience. I love cooking & baking (even though I fail a lot lol) and I would love an apron. But please don’t buy this for a mom who would be offended by it (think moms who don’t like to cook, don’t know how to cook, don’t have time to cook). Make sure to only gift “kitchen” stuff to a person who would actually appreciate & enjoy it.

7. Water Bottle – I’m not like a regular mom. I’m a cool mom. Name that movie! *Fun Fact: Mean Girls is the first movie Chris & I ever watched together!* Anyway, there are a lot of fun water bottles on Amazon that would be the perfect Mother’s Day Gift.

8. Comfy Lightweight Robe – I feel like you can’t go wrong getting a comfy robe for a mom! Since we are getting into warmer weather here in the Midwest, I’d suggest going with a lightweight robe, like this one from Amazon. It is a light jersey knit & comes in tons of colors.

9. Mom Necklace – Any Hills fans here? This dainty necklace is an LC (Lauren Conrad) piece from Kohls. Extremely affordable at $14 and a perfectly thoughtful gift for any mom in your life.

10. Moss & Thyme Soy Candle – Candles are always a great gift, but this one from Target is definitely stepping up the game. It is a vegan soy candle and uses essential oils. Around $13, it’s a cheap but nice gift!

11. Home is Wherever my Mom is Throw Pillow Cover – Cutest throw pillow cover for moms! This is so neutral and can go with many styles. $10 is a steal for a pillow cover!

12. Burt’s Bees Chapstick – Chapstick packs, lipgloss, lipstick, etc. are great little gift ideas. I love Burt’s Bees and like to have tons on hand! This variety pack is only $15 on Amazon!

Obviously I like to shop at Amazon & Target quite a bit… it’s just too easy! Another great place to get gifts is Etsy. There’s tons of handmade & personalized items. Just be sure to order early – it’s worth it, but it takes way longer than Amazon! If all else fails – get pretty flowers 🙂

Until next time…
