Our front porch tends to be neglected a little. We enter & leave through the garage and we don’t get tons of visitors. While I’m not going to go crazy with porch decor (right now), I did want to spruce it up a tiny bit. What better way than a new welcome mat? I loved my old one from Target, but it was just that. Old.
I spend so much time on Etsy, with my existing shop & trying to launch my second shop, I decided to look around and see what’s out there. OMG! I immediately started favoriting mat after mat. There are seriously SO many amazing welcome mats! I love all the funny ones, but ultimately decided on a simple yet pretty one.
Hello Sunshine from Boxwood & Co. layered over a classic navy & ivory striped rug from Bed Bath & Beyond. I could have gone with something more interesting, but I’m loving this look with our navy blue front door.

It was really hard for me to choose. I’ve even saved a few for gift ideas – housewarming gifts, new baby, new puppy, Christmas?! (And no I do not discriminate against cats, but I’m deathly allergic, so naturally I wasn’t searching for & saving cat mats!)
To limit myself from these tempting purchases, I think I’ll just try to stick to seasonally swapping them out. Although I had my last one for over a year, so we’ll see!

I desperately have been searching for THE PERFECT mat and I think the “Come back when you have tacos and booze” is it! Also, I NEVER thought of layering it but now I MUST!

After viewing these gorgeous welcome mats, I’ve realized that I need to order a new one ASAP. The sun has bleached out the colors on my front door mat, and the back door mat is in need of replacement! The Hello Sunshine mat is my item of choice!
